Terms and Ordering
Every order for a Foster custom guitar begins with a phone conversation between the luthier and the customer. This is where I get to meet the customer to discuss some of the details that they are looking for in a custom hand made guitar. Although I do have several established models, my goal is to tailor one of these guitars to fit the musical needs of the customer. Communication throughout the building process is an integral part of creating the guitar of your dreams.
Payment and Shipping
When ordering your custom instrument a 20% non-refundable deposit, payable by personal check or credit card, is required. At that time, I will confirm an estimated date of completion as well as “lock-in” your quoted price until your instrument is finished. When your instrument is completed, the final payment plus the cost of shipping must be made by certified check, money order, or credit card. Your instrument will then be shipped via FedEx or UPS overnight service.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
All Foster instruments are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the instrument for as long as he or she owns it. All warranty repairs must be performed by Foster Guitars, or by a specified authorized repair person. This Warranty does not cover repairs necessitated by normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidental damage, modification, of cracking of wood or finish that result from changes in temperature or humidity. Frets, strings, and tuning machines are not covered by this warranty.
